Job Description
Hire Resolves client is urgently seeking the expertise of an Enrolled Nurse for their General Ward in Cape Town Western Cape.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and record patients vital signs and report abnormalities.
- Administer prescribed medication and assist with basic medical procedures.
- Provide personal care and support with mobility hygiene and nutrition.
- Assist with patient admissions discharges and transfers.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and handovers.
- Support infection prevention and adhere to safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients families and the healthcare team.
- Assist in wound care specimen collection and dressing changes.
- Participate in training and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Requirements:
- Enrolled Nurse qualification from an accredited nursing school.
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as an Enrolled Nurse.
- 12 years of relevant nursing experience in a general ward or similar clinical environment.
- Basic knowledge of clinical procedures patient care and medication administration.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and the healthcare team.
- Ability to work shifts including weekends nights and public holidays.
- Basic computer literacy especially in patient record systems.
- Commitment to infection prevention safety and quality care standards.
