Job Description
Job Title: Ultrasound General/Vascular Tech
Job Location: Washington IA
Job Type: Contract
Job Description:
- Perform high quality general ultrasound including abdomen and OB/GYN and vascular studies in accordance with all policies and procedures.
- Competently set up and assist radiologist.
- Working with the EMRs to generate and complete exam orders.
- Perform record and analyze QC data in order to make judgments concerning the results and take appropriate action to maintain accuracy and precision.
- Maintain a safe and efficient working environment by performing equipment checks cleaning work area and monitoring temperatures in accordance with regulatory agencies and hospital policies.
- Regular attendance including clocking in and out at scheduled times and minimal unplanned time off.
- Maintain clinical competency and current professional knowledge by completing in-house education and competencies learning new protocols and new equipment training.
- Responsible for contacting service personnel and notifying supervisors of malfunctioning equipment
- Transporting patients
- Knowledge of PACS systems releasing/transmitting images.
- Inform appropriate personnel of department supply needs ensuring uninterrupted testing.
- Work well with other departments to improve patient and staff experiences.
- Recommend process improvements for increased efficiencies
- Display and promote company values
- Other duties as assigned
