Job Description
Job Title: 712 Girls Basketball Coach and Teacher
Reports To: Athletic Director and Principal
Job Summary:
Hampton High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as the 712 Girls Basketball Coach and Certified Teacher. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to developing a competitive and successful girls basketball program as well as a dedication to promoting health and physical education among students. This role requires a dynamic and motivated leader who can inspire and guide studentathletes to achieve their full potential both on and off the court.
Key Responsibilities:
Coaching Duties:
Develop and implement a comprehensive girls basketball program for grades 712.
Plan organize and conduct regular practice sessions to develop athletic skills teamwork and sportsmanship.
Develop game strategies and lead the team during competitions.
Monitor and assess the performance of studentathletes providing constructive feedback and guidance for improvement.
Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that emphasizes discipline respect and personal growth.
Maintain equipment and facilities ensuring they are safe and in good condition.
Collaborate with other coaches athletic trainers and school staff to support the overall athletic program.
Teaching Duties:
Develop and deliver engaging health and physical education curriculum for middle and high school students.
Create lesson plans that align with state standards and promote physical fitness wellness and healthy lifestyles.
Assess and evaluate student progress providing feedback and support to help students achieve their academic and personal goals.
Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation and respect among students.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices.
