Big Brown House (BBH) is a communitybased organisation focused on holistic family support and child protection. Our sister organisation Integrity 4 Life (I4L) is a communitybased organisation focused on providing quality individualised and innovative support services to children and adults with a disability.
We are currently seeking a Training Officer who will be responsible for the development and delivery of our training initiatives and programs to support capacity building and improvement outcomes for BBH and I4L clients.
As the Training Officer you will:
- Support the development and implementation of training using multiple delivery platforms.
- Coordinate and facilitate Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training for new staff in the Newcastle region as well as Sydney Wagga Wagga Albury and Dubbo where required (travel required).
- Development and implement training feedback and evaluation measures that meet standards and accreditation requirements.
- Support BBH and I4L in meeting statutory obligations and prepare for auditing activities.
- Support the implementation of systems and practices including the rollout of Children and Residential Experiences (CARE) and implementation of our new client management system by providing training to staff and identifying areas of improvement (full training provided for the successfully applicant).
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and adherence to associated policies and procedures.
- Support the ongoing development and updated on organisational training.
About you:
- Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) Trainer certificate
- 1 years experience in a similar role that includes demonstrated training facilitation and development.
- Has experience working in OOHC with a demonstrated understanding of best practice and passion for practice improvement in relation to child protection in the community services industry.
- Current paid NSW Working with Children Check.
- Clear and Current National Criminal History Check.
- An Australian Drivers License.
