Who We Are: Fisher Associates P.E. L.S. L.A. D.P.C is a multidisciplinary design services firm headquartered in Rochester NY with eight locations nationwide. The firm provides civil/site engineering transportation engineering electrical engineering landscape architecture architecture planning environmental surveying GIS construction inspection precast engineering and construction engineering services to public and private sector clients across numerous markets. All services are delivered through the firms signature Clientship philosophy which emphasizes not only customized innovative quality solutions but also an exceptional client experience driven by clear communication deep expertise and proactive client advocacy.


Salary Range: $48.08 $62.50 Hourly


Actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience qualifications/education and other factors. The salary range is not necessarily reflective of the actual total compensation that may be earned nor promises any specific pay for any specific employee. Salary range excludes monetary value of benefits.


Essential Functions

  • Effectively complete assignments related to bridge design including bridge load rating and analysis and all aspects of concrete/steel bridge and foundation design.
  • Develop detailed design plans drawings specifications reports and cost estimates for bridges and related structures.
  • Provide technical support during the construction phase which may involve addressing designrelated queries from contractors conducting site visits and reviewing construction progress to ensure it aligns with the design intent.
  • Complete field inspections and reports for bridge and culvert inspections.
  • Ensure designs adhere to safety standards local regulations and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of project details including design documents progress reports and budget information.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with clients subconsultants and regulatory approving agencies.
  • Coordinate with reviewers and other disciplines to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
  • Attend routine project design meetings and coordinate regularly with the technical staff to complete the project within the assigned project budget and on schedule.
  • Provide mentoring direction and oversight to internal design staff.
  • Assist Project Manager with project presentations proposed project schedules and development tasks assigned by the Project Manager.
Requirements

Education & Experience

  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
  • 10 15 years minimum of transportation experience structures/bridge design experience preferred
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) or ability to obtain it.
  • Experience with MicroStation STAAD Bridge Design Software preferred.
