Job Description

Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Supervisor to lead our Thunder Bay Service Division with potential future oversight of the Winnipeg area. This role involves managing various service lines including VFSS Fire & Life Safety Equipment Respiratory Instrumentation Fall Arrest T&C and Rentals. As a working Field Supervisor you will be responsible for ensuring the success of our service team through leadership handson support and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor the service team ensuring they have the technical knowledge and training needed to excel in their roles.
  • Operational Management: Oversee the handson management of service technicians and branch operations. Work closely with the Regional Service Manager to meet productivity and financial targets.
  • Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and compliance programs. Lead safety audits and maintain safety records.
  • Training & Mentorship: Plan and facilitate technical and field training for technicians both onsite and remotely. Provide ongoing coaching and support.

Key Areas of Focus:

  • Set team business objectives safety targets and longterm regional goals.
  • Coordinate service assets subcontractors and customer project management.
  • Drive accidentfree operations through safety adherence and audits.
  • Foster customer retention through highquality service delivery.

Role Requirements

  • Prior experience in a supervisory role ideally with a background in fire and safety or industrial operations.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a thorough understanding of industrial operations.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Willingness to travel extensively including to remote locations.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with various computer systems and tools.
  • As this is a working supervisory role you must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs work in confined spaces and operate from ladders.
  • Ability to pass preemployment checks such as a background check drug and alcohol test and possess a clean driving record.
