Job Description
Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Supervisor to lead our Thunder Bay Service Division with potential future oversight of the Winnipeg area. This role involves managing various service lines including VFSS Fire & Life Safety Equipment Respiratory Instrumentation Fall Arrest T&C and Rentals. As a working Field Supervisor you will be responsible for ensuring the success of our service team through leadership handson support and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor the service team ensuring they have the technical knowledge and training needed to excel in their roles.
- Operational Management: Oversee the handson management of service technicians and branch operations. Work closely with the Regional Service Manager to meet productivity and financial targets.
- Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and compliance programs. Lead safety audits and maintain safety records.
- Training & Mentorship: Plan and facilitate technical and field training for technicians both onsite and remotely. Provide ongoing coaching and support.
Key Areas of Focus:
- Set team business objectives safety targets and longterm regional goals.
- Coordinate service assets subcontractors and customer project management.
- Drive accidentfree operations through safety adherence and audits.
- Foster customer retention through highquality service delivery.
Role Requirements
- Prior experience in a supervisory role ideally with a background in fire and safety or industrial operations.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a thorough understanding of industrial operations.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain positive customer relationships.
- Willingness to travel extensively including to remote locations.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and leadership skills.
- Proficient with various computer systems and tools.
- As this is a working supervisory role you must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs work in confined spaces and operate from ladders.
- Ability to pass preemployment checks such as a background check drug and alcohol test and possess a clean driving record.
