Job Description
The Aftermarket Engineering Team for EMA delivers Technical Solutions for turbomachinery mixer and pump seals & systems to End Users in Europe Middle East and Africa (EMA). The Team also provides Reliability Engineering services for seals and pumps to Flowserve contract customers in EMA. EMA Aftermarket Engineering operates from the Flowserve hubs in Dortmund and EttenLeur and the regional Quick Repair Centres (QRCs).
Your tasks:
Project Engineer Compressor Sealing Solutions (M/F/T) delivers End User cantered technical solutions for shaft seals and auxiliary systems for compressors turbines and potentially other turbomachines across EMA. The Engineer is a frontend technical leader closely interacting with Flowserve Sales ComOps Operations and End Users.
The Engineer develops sealing solutions in collaboration with Order and Product Engineering Teams leads seal failure analysis and root cause analysis supervises seal inspections conducts troubleshooting delivers training and participates in Technical Events with Customers.
The Engineer is a technical driver for the seals and systems changeouts and upgrades performance issue resolution identification of novel applications and markets.
The Engineer closely interacts with other Solution Engineers across EMA turbomachinery Application Engineers Compressor Seal Specialists seal & system Designers and Project Engineers.
The Engineer participates in turbomachinery retrofits joint projects involving testing numerical analysis prototyping continuous improvement initiatives and more.
Requirements:
Degree in Engineering: B.Sc. or M.Sc.
Computer literacy
Basic experience with CAD programs and engineering simulation software
Strong analytical skills
Ability to speak write and present in English and German
Strong communication & presentation skills
Strong sense of ownership interest to lead projects passion for innovation
Preferences:
5 years of experience with shaft seals and rotating equipment
Knowledge of the languages spoken in EMA
