Job Description
Braun Intertec is seeking students pursuing degrees in civil engineering construction management or related field; and other interested candidates to join our Bloomington MN office for 3 and 6month Coop opportunities.
Chosen Coops will receive indepth technical training and industry certifications upon successful completion of examinations and demonstration of ability. As a Coop you will have the chance to get handson experience in a variety of laboratory testing fields which include: aggregates soils bituminous and concrete testing. The primary responsibility of the position is to receive prepare and test concrete soil and aggregate specimens. No lab experience is necessary but the chosen candidate(s) will receive indepth technical training for the position.Candidates should be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis take direction and work well with a team.
This position has two possible shifts: Monday Friday 6am 2:30pm) or Sunday Thursday 9pm 5:30am). We are offering a $2 shift differential for the overnight shift.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and sort materials
- Test concrete cylinders
- Process soil and aggregate samples
- Proctor testing of soil samples
- Gradation testing of aggregate samples
- Maintain work equipment
The ideal candidate will have:
- A demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical concepts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A safety focus and attention to detail
- Related work experience in materials testing or construction is a plus
All candidates must have:
- A High School diploma or equivalent
- A valid drivers license with clean driving record
- The ability to lift 50 pounds
- Fulltime commitment for the duration of the internship/coop

Please note that the compensation range shared is based on an annual salary. Our coop opportunities are approximately six months in duration at an hourly rate of $20 $23.
Compensation Range:
