Job Description
Job Summary:
HeyTutor is excited to partner with multiple High Schools in New York City to provide a dedicated passionate and experienced Regent test prep ELA tutors for students grade levels 9th12th. We are looking for individuals with a background in education proficiency in English Language Arts bilingual in Spanish and a commitment to making a positive impact on students who often face unique challenges.
This position is ideal for someone with experience in high school Regents test preparation a bachelors degree and availability between 10am and 5 pm Monday through Friday. The candidate should be skilled in engaging and motivating students to reach their full potential. This opportunity offers competitive pay at $32$38 per hour.
You must be comfortable passing an INPERSON background check.
Key Qualifications:
- Spanish Bilingual
- Experience tutoring or have taken the Regents Exam
- Experience working with high school students with track record of patience empathy and resilience
- Strong organizational skills to manage time and tasks efficiently
- Ability to build strong relationships with students and school staff working closely with educators to support student success
- Proven ability to motivate students and instill selfconfidence through structured consistent guidance
Primary Responsibilities:
- Fostering a supportive and balanced learning environment
- Engage students in both individual and group sessions using HeyTutors curriculum and resources
- Develop and maintain an organized and structured approach to meet students varied learning needs
- Work collaboratively with school staff to align tutoring strategies with classroom learning and provide feedback on student progress
- Document student achievements and areas for improvement using the HeyTutor Dashboard
- Support students in making positive behavioral choices and encourage their participation and improvement
Schedule: Monday through Friday 4 hours a day must be available between 10 am 5 pm.
Compensation: $32$38 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
