Job Description
We are seeking two solicitors with a minimum of 2 yrs post admission experience up to Junior Senior Associate to join our Sydneybased specialist restructuring and insolvency team.
About the roles
King & Wood Mallesons specialist restructuring and insolvency team sits in the banking and finance team. With close links to the broader KWM practice the team has access to the most significant and complex restructuring and insolvency work in the market. The team is known as a centre of excellence and has the benefit of some of the finest legal and commercial minds working in restructuring and insolvency in Australia and the AsiaPacific region.
KWM is uniquely placed to lead on crossborder restructuring matters in the AsiaPacific Region as well as globally. We work seamlessly across offices and practice groups. The team is known for leading on high profile restructuring and insolvency matters and taking an active role in structuring and leading implementation of the solution.
Our team remains busy on several very significant situations. As we work through those situations and start on new ones we are looking for two ambitious solicitors to join us. If you want to continue to focus on frontend restructuring work and to play a leading role in our marketleading team then this is an excellent opportunity to step up.
Candidates will:
have a minimum 2 years postadmission experience with exposure to specialist restructuring & insolvency work
be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the Australian restructuring and insolvency procedures
have a genuine passion to work in a team environment with a focus on collaboration
demonstrate attention to detail organisational skills and a strong work ethic
have ambitions to specialise in restructuring & insolvency work and over time take on a senior role in our team
You will:
work on complex restructuring and insolvency matters in a collaborative and supportive environment focused on training
have direct contact with our broader practice and clients
have opportunities to take initiative and responsibility on matters
be supported to develop your skills and profile and to build relationships in the Australian restructuring and insolvency market
