About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer as a Quality & Accreditation Partner at Harwell Home Care you will play a pivotal role in supporting our clinical and operational teams across various regions. You will ensure compliance with relevant standards including DVA guidelines Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) and Aged Care and Quality Standards regulatory frameworks. You will also be responsible for researching and establishing quality systems and processes that support continuous improvement.
Although this role is remote based ideally our preference is that the candidate resides in Brisbane to enable collaboration with key leaders. However please do apply even if you dont as we would like to find the right fit for the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice and guidance to clinical and operational teams on compliance with DVA ACHS and Aged Care Quality standards.
- Coordinate and lead internal and external audits and accreditation processes.
- Support clinical teams with investigations and root cause analysis when required.
- Maintain and manage risk registers ensuring proactive identification and mitigation of risks.
- Assist in the development implementation monitoring and review of clinical and operational policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular internal audits to monitor compliance and support continuous quality improvement.
- Research develop and set up effective quality management systems.
- Ensure timely and effective followup and implementation of recommendations from audits and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements and relevant legislative frameworks.
- Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with Clinical Leaders the executive team and other key stakeholders.
About You
- Proven experience in a similar quality auditing or compliance role within aged care or health services.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience working within DVAfunded services ACHS accreditation and Aged Care Quality standards (preferred).
- Clinical background or strong familiarity with clinical governance frameworks is highly desirable.
- Excellent knowledge of legislative compliance requirements including Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards and ACHS standards.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly developed analytical skills with a proven ability to identify trends solve problems and implement solutions.
- Strong written communication and documentation skills.
