Job Title:S.P.A.C.E. Lower Science Teacher
Reports to:S.P.A.C.E.Camp Director
Summary: SPACE Camp Lower Science teachers provide instruction for incoming K4th grade students within the camp setting. Teachers are willing to plan and teach fun and interactive lessons elementary science lessons. Hours of work are 8:45 am 3:45 pm with a half hour lunch break.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a classroom setting
- Science Background
- Teaching degree/certification strongly desired
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities (Not Limited To):
- Responsible for 515 students age K4thgrade
- Teach and support students in specific courses they are teaching
- Create and implement curriculum related to course subject or theme
- Coordinate and collaborate with special education staff to support students with disabilities
- Consistent reliable and punctual attendance is essential for supervision and instruction of the students
- Responsible for implementing other jobrelated duties as needed
Work Environment:
- Work is performed in a school/classroom environment as well as outdoors. The noise level in the environment is usually moderate.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to walk stand sit talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to bend stoop crouch and/or kneel.
- Regularly required to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
