Job Description:

The Shift Manager will lead a team of Supervisors and Operators to run a Semiconductor Fabrication Factory meeting Safety Quality and Productivity objectives. They will continuously recognize and diagnose manufacturing line issues and engage the proper resources for resolution. Their leadership must grow and sustain a culture of engagement and relational safety throughout the Dshift team that results in excellent performance and employee satisfaction. In addition to shift management responsibilities they will lead multishift improvement teams one with specific operational emphasis and one with focused ownership for a segment of the facility.

This position is for a night shift. Hours are 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM every Thursday through Saturday and every other Wednesday; however some schedule flexibility is required for cross shift and cross functional collaboration.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize safety and quality before speed while meeting operational commitments.

  • Coordinate and communicate with other parts of the organization to ensure that critical resources and fab needs are prioritized for the organization.

  • Responsible for monitoring and managing issues and escalations that occur on the shift (facilities line stops yield loss quality concerns personnel issues etc. including strong communication with management and other functional areas as needed.

  • Maintain a safe clean and orderly production space following 6S principles.

  • Manage performance and development of the Operations Supervisors who each manage a team of operators to meet or exceed business commitments.

  • Cultivate a safe work environment for individuals at every level of the organization to fully engage in their job.

  • Maintain an environment of mutual respect and teamwork within the operations organization and with other fab teams.

  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager and the other Operations Shift Managers to continually evolve standard operating practices and metrics to improve the standardization and efficiency of manufacturing practices.

  • Initiate and lead team projects through to implementation.

  • Help to establish operations performance metrics which cascade down to the work cell and shift level. Monitor and review individual and team performance.

  • Ensure that production activities are coordinated with other departments and that work is completed on time balance against competing priorities.

  • Hire train and retain supervisors and direct labor employees (including temporary employees) to required staffing levels.

  • Responsible for evaluation and approval of disruption requests and PDCA process changes weighing Operations and overall fab needs for decisions.

  • Lead an Operations Supervisor Leadership Team focused on specific aspects of Operational performance such as Safety Efficiency Staffing etc..

  • Oversee and coordinate the Operations improvement projects for 1 or 2 fab buildings for continuous improvement 6S precious metals treatments cross training layout optimization material movement WIP Scheduling Line Technician alignment etc..

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of 12 years of total professional experience including at least 3 years in a people management or supervisory role.

Preferred:

  • Bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and training.

  • At least 2 years of experience working overnight or night shift schedules with demonstrated ability to maintain performance and productivity in nonstandard hours.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $103000 $164000

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
