Job Description


Summary/Objective:

The Human Resource Generalist will have both administrativeand strategic responsibilities helping us to plan and administer the importantfunctions of the Human Resource (HR) department including recruiting/andinterviewing administering pay compensation and benefits and leave andenforcing company policies and practices.


Essential Functions:

  • Reviews tracks and documentscompliance with mandatory and nonmandatory training continuing education andwork assessments. This may include safety training antiharassment trainingprofessional licensure and aptitude exams and certifications.

  • Recruits interviews and facilitatesthe hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; completes allprehire tasks collaborates with departmental managers to understand skillsand competencies required for openings.

  • Conducts or acquires background checksand employee eligibility verifications.

  • Handle administrative tasks foronboarding conducts new hire orientation exit processing and all associatedtasks.

  • Performs routine tasks required toadminister and execute human resource programs including but not limitedto compensation benefits and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes andinvestigations; performance and talent management; productivity recognitionand morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

  • Handles employmentrelated inquiries from applicantsemployees and supervisors referring complex and/or sensitive matters to theappropriate staff.

  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetingsterminations and investigations.

  • Maintainscompliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations andrecommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintaincompliance.

  • Maintainsknowledge of trends best practices regulatory changes and new technologiesin human resources talent management and employment law.
  • Participates in HR initiativesand projects and other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to use computer.
