Summary/Objective:
The Human Resource Generalist will have both administrativeand strategic responsibilities helping us to plan and administer the importantfunctions of the Human Resource (HR) department including recruiting/andinterviewing administering pay compensation and benefits and leave andenforcing company policies and practices.
Essential Functions:
- Reviews tracks and documentscompliance with mandatory and nonmandatory training continuing education andwork assessments. This may include safety training antiharassment trainingprofessional licensure and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Recruits interviews and facilitatesthe hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; completes allprehire tasks collaborates with departmental managers to understand skillsand competencies required for openings.
- Conducts or acquires background checksand employee eligibility verifications.
- Handle administrative tasks foronboarding conducts new hire orientation exit processing and all associatedtasks.
- Performs routine tasks required toadminister and execute human resource programs including but not limitedto compensation benefits and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes andinvestigations; performance and talent management; productivity recognitionand morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Handles employmentrelated inquiries from applicantsemployees and supervisors referring complex and/or sensitive matters to theappropriate staff.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetingsterminations and investigations.
- Maintainscompliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations andrecommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintaincompliance.
- Maintainsknowledge of trends best practices regulatory changes and new technologiesin human resources talent management and employment law.
- Participates in HR initiativesand projects and other duties as assigned.
Education Experience and Knowledge:
- Bachelorsdegree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field required.
- Demonstratedexperience working in Human Resources for a minimum of 3 years.
- SHRMCPor HRCI aPHR or PHR certification is a plus.
