About the Position:
The essential duties of this position will create and maintain a healthy culture in conjunction with their team. This position is responsible for instructional leadership operational and fiscal management implementing and maintaining all federal/state/local laws and upholding the policies and philosophies set forth by the Superintendent of Schools and the School Board.
The Principal will be responsible for the evaluation of all team members administer student discipline and collaborate with families and the community to provide a school culture and instructional program conducive to student learning and professional staff growth. The Principal will also be responsible for supporting and contributing to the Districts goals of improving student performance in math improving our culture and belonging and making Pelham one of the best places to work.
Instructional Programming:
Develop a program of studies that are designed to meet student needs and the districts vision by collaborating with staff to assess the needs and interest of students and that are consistent with the regulations and policies of the State Board of Education and the School Board. This individual will construct an effective master schedule of daily classes and oversee co and extracurricular activities to complement and enrich the curriculum.
Fiscal Management:
Develop and administer an accurate detailed and wellorganized annual budget and ensure management of said budget throughout the year.
School Board Related Communication:
Prepare and present reports and/or proposals to the Board through the Superintendent or his designee.
Team Member Administration:
Work collaboratively with the Superintendent and SAU to select onboard and train new team members. This individual will monitor and submit attendance records supervise/advise and evaluate team members in accordance with the Districts evaluation process goals professional development activities.
Student Welfare:
Coordinates appropriate programs for students with various levels of aptitude and performance. Assigns and manages procedures connected with pupil attendance registration transfer and dropout.
Qualifications:
A masters degree a minimum of 5years teaching experience and 3years of administration experience demonstrated knowledge of curriculum development technology integration and school/operations programs excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
