Description

Optimal on behalf of its client operating in the hospitality industry with a unique collection of luxury ecochic resorts is seeking a Reservations Manager for a 5* resort in Crete.


Scope of role:

The Reservations Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing room reservations revenue and guest satisfaction. This role involves overseeing reservations staff implementing pricing strategies and coordinating with various hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.

Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Oversee reservation systems room assignments availability and pricing while ensuring seamless communication with guests for bookings confirmations and cancellations.
  • Manage and train the reservations team to provide excellent customer service handle inquiries effectively and process reservations efficiently.
  • Handle reservationrelated issues lastminute changes guest complaints and overbooking situations to ensure a smooth experience from booking to checkin.
  • Liaise with front office housekeeping and other departments to coordinate guest arrivals special arrangements and room allocation.
  • Ensure proper functioning of the reservation system (PMS) updating room rates availability and maintaining accurate booking records.
  • Manage relationships with OTAs GDS and other distribution channels while controlling room inventory to prevent overbooking or underbooking.
  • Implement pricing strategies based on market conditions demand and competitor rates while encouraging the team to upsell rooms services and special packages.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management Business Administration or a related field.
  • Proven experience in reservations management within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong proficiency in reservation systems PMS and distribution channels; experience with industrystandard software is highly desirable.
  • Ability to analyze market trends demand and competitor rates to make datadriven pricing and inventory decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with guests staff and external partners (OTAs GDS).
  • Understanding of revenue management principles and pricing strategies to maximize room revenue while adapting to market conditions.
  • Strong problemsolving skills to handle lastminute changes overbookings and unexpected disruptions efficiently.
