Job Description
We have anoutstanding opportunity for a motivated and talented Sr Adobe AEM Developerwith a solid Java/J2EE coding background interested in working on excitingprojects.
The SeniorDeveloper designs develops to specifications and maintains application code inaccordance with the current development and project management methodologiesand practices. Duties will include creating new program code and testing newlyinstalled programs to verify functionality; regular consultations with clientsconcerning software; writing reports on development progress and presentingthose reports to senior management.
The Developer performs software and database development and maintenancetasks assigned under the guidance of the Development Manager.
Key responsibilities:
Develop applications that are deployed to Adobe AEMenvironment
Assess existing source code and adapt to meetcurrent requirements
Support production environment with resolvingapplication errors including backend DB consist of Mongo & Java ContentRepository (JCR)
Assist on team activities to analyze and improvesystem performance
Use version control system to manage software code
Enforce application development standards and bestpractices
Update design documentation if required as part ofcorrecting production issues
Adhere to the agile methodologies SoftwareDevelopment Life Cycle
Identifies and provides recommendations for systemprocess improvements
Prepares periodic and ad hoc status reports foreach assignment for Development manager and project manager
Job Duties:
Manages work assignments according to currentproject methodologies or as directed
Prepares required documentation for the portion ofwork assigned with review
Consults with Quality Assurance and businessanalysts in the development and of test plans
Provides technical assistance and problemresolution for assigned systems
Makes application changes and resolves incidentsand problems according to established policies & procedures
Qualifications:
Considerable skill and expertise in softwaredevelopment. Extensive time and resource management skills.
Familiar with technology governance and bestpractice.
Works well within AGILE project managementmethodology
Works well in a fastpaced environment
Java andJ2EE experience
OSGi modular Java platform experience
Familiarity with HTML/CSS markup and dynamic markup(jsp asp php)
Familiarity with JavaScript
Extensive work experience with Mongo & JavaContent Repository (JCR)
Knowledge of ObjectOriented Programming ModelView Controller paradigm
Excellent communication skills both written andverbal
Experience with Apache Jackrabbit and/or ApacheSling
Knowledge of JCR spec Java Content Repository
Experience with Apache Maven
Experience with hierarchical/XML based storagesystem
