SUMMARY:
The Director of Adult Education provides program leadership and direction; plans develops implements and evaluates all aspects of the areas of Adult Education High School Equivalency and Dropout Recovery. The Director of Adult Education reports to the Dean of Career Technical and Workforce Education.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Masters degree in Education Educational Administration Management or a related field from a regionally accredited institution.
Three 3 years of fulltime experience working in adult education.Adult Education is aprogram of academic and education services below the postsecondary level that assistsadults who have not obtained high school diplomas in reading writing and speaking in English and performing mathematics or other activities necessary for the attainment of a secondary school diploma or recognized equivalent;transitioning to postsecondary education or training; andobtain employment

ENVIRONMENT AND DEMANDS:
The work environment is an office setting with moderate noise.
While performing the duties of this Job the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
