Job Description
Job Summary
The Evergreen State College seeks a half time faculty member to teach a yearlong sequence of courses in general chemistry with lab in academic year 2025/26. Experience with student centered pedagogy is highly desirable. Prior experience teaching STEM fields to diverse and underserved students including returning adults is also desirable. The lab sections of the courses will be taught in person; lectures may be inperson or remote. The courses will be located within Evergreens Professional and Continuing Education program and will be scheduled to be taught in the evenings or on weekends.
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. in chemistry or related field Collegelevel teaching experience in chemistry including lab
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with diverse and underserved populations of students
