Job Description: The Athletics Fan Engagement Student Employee position is designed to introduce undergraduate/graduate students to the field of sports marketing by providing handson experience in the areas of marketing fan engagement and promotion of Baylors NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletics programs. During the course of the program the student will develop and improve competencies in leadership customer service teamwork multitasking and time management. Compensation is standardized and commensurate with responsibilities and performance.
Job Functions: Assist FullTime Fan Engagement Staff and Graduate Assistants with sport program responsibilities Assist with gameday responsibilities to help carry out giveaways upon entry selection of contestants and operations of ingame promotions and presentations Office hours (on average 36 per week) as assigned to work on upcoming promotions for upcoming events Assist with Tailgating and Touchdown Alley setup operations and tear down at each home football game Contact area groups regarding upcoming promotions Help fulfill poster or fan pack requests Complete Baylor Spirit Program mailing for each season (Fall Winter and Spring) Research other DI schools ingame marketing fan engagement and promotional efforts and develop creative ideas for implementation at Baylor Other duties as assigned Compliance with all NCAA and Baylor policies
Provide marketing and communications support to assigned areas of responsibility
Assist with various projects activities or tasks related to marketing and communications
Support marketing and communications strategies and perform duties accordingly
Exhibit a willingness to take initiative and work independently and collaboratively
Ability to comply with university policies
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
