Dealer Designer
THE ROLE

This role provides strategic creative andtechnical design support and is is accountable for effectively and efficientlyexecuting design projects to successful completion including scope of workdefinition meeting the clients business goals & objectives projecttimeline development strategic product application development specificationand specification checking in partnership with Sales.

Thisis a fulltime permanent position working out of our impeccably designed andfurnished office. Youll mostly work from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday withirregular or extended hours as projects demand.
THE DAY TO DAY
The successful candidate will be responsiblefor the following:
- Develop typical drawings for the various types of spaces in each project ensure the typicals align with client needs as identified in the qualification phase
- Continuously validates projects through a Value Engineering lens. Strives to create applications and drive a winning strategy
- Create space plans using typicals allowing client to visualize overall project scope
- Translate the furniture plans into specifications for project budgeting/Order submission
- Final order files for client signoff
- Determine scope of services and identify any professional services
- Qualify project timelines
- Attend client meetings site visits & perform inventory checks as required
- Collaborate with internal project team to outline roles & responsibilities outline project timelines and critical project milestones to ensure we meet customer expectations and project goals.
- Collaborate with Architects and Designers as necessary to ensure the details of the project align with the overall vision of the project while satisfying the needs of the customer
- Consult with Engineers and Contractors as necessary to review and qualify electrical requirements align
YOU BRING THE FOLLOWING
Thesuccessful candidate will have experience in an office furniture dealer ormanufacturer with technical systems furniture planning application andknowledge. We want you to bring a solid understanding of the basics of interiorcommercial construction Provincial Building Codes architecture and designreal estate and contract furnishings. This role requires an understanding ofthe basics of interior commercial construction architecture and design andcomputer proficiency in: AutoCAD (current release) 20/20 CAP Zaxis Revitand MS Office (Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook). We know that thesuccessful candidate will be motivated with a drive to learn and maintain thelatest commercial and/or healthcare design trends.
Thisis a fastpaced business and we need someone who is organized and an effectivetime manager with the ability to prioritize deliverables and maintain focus onprojects. Someone who is selfmotivated and demonstrates initiative drive andperseverance in achieving objectives is going to be successful in this role. Acommitment to customer service and a client focused mentality is alsoessential.
