General Overview: Teacher Aides work under the direct supervision of a teacher at all times. Under the direction of the teacher they engage in active play with small groups of children and work with their team to ensure that daily household chores on the floor are completed.
Responsibilities:
Being an enthusiastic and positive participant in the classroom by using positive vocabulary and being actively involved (playing) with the children in the classroom.
Responsibilities: Upholding the written Regulations for Group Day Care from the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC).
Upholding the written personnel policies of the Partners Child Care Services and Partners Healthcare System.
Following the cleanliness diapering toileting and discipline policies written in the Partners Child Care Personnel Policies and posted in the classroom.
Sharing with the teacher and assistant teacher basic duties such as diapering snack preparation dishes laundry stocking supplies and all clean ups.
Teacher Aides will be assigned to a floor and will report to individual classrooms as requested by the coordinator.
Performing additional duties as requested by the teacher and/or coordinator.
If unable to make it in to work due to illness or emergency teacher aides are required to notify the center prior to the start of their shift. All planned absences must be scheduled with head teacher.

Must be at least 16 years old and currently enrolled in a high school or GED program.
