Job Description
The Role:
In this role you will be part of the Commercial Data team and play a key role in defining building and advancing Modenas Commercial strategy. Your mission will be to deliver quantitative analysis decision support and reporting artifacts on a broad range of business topics. This requires the ability to identify the appropriate data sources assess their usefulness consolidate the required attributes and derive meaningful information and insights. The focus goes beyond creating reports and pulling data it is to tackle complex business problems build compelling datadriven stories and become a trusted business advisor to a variety of cross functional stakeholders.

We are looking for a dynamic versatile Data analytics professional who can define endtoend analytics solutions easily pivot between strategy and and be passionate about learning and developing at the pace of our rapidly growing business.
Heres What Youll Do:
As Principal Data Analyst you will define Modernas Commercial analytics methodology and selfservice capabilities lead their build out as well as deliver adhoc research to crossfunctional stakeholders.
Deliver accurate and impactful analysis based on solid understanding of data sources and business needs including economic financial and statistical analysis
Translate business questions into analytic hypotheses data needs and reporting requirements
Define data collection requirements (attributes format structure) and represent them during the data warehouse and software engineering projects
Clearly and concisely present strategic and tactical recommendations; develop compelling presentations for both internal and external customers
Partner with senior business leaders on solving complex business challenges and provide relevant datadriven insights
Develop analytical models to estimate the impact of different scenarios assisting in the business decision making process
Design develop and maintain compelling accurate and reliable analytical reports
Become a trusted advisor to key gotomarket stakeholders and provide adhoc reporting data extracts and analyses
Heres What Youll Need:
Passion for improving business outcomes through data and analytics solutions
Proven expertise and track record of success delivering analytics for B2B Marketing Sales Distribution and Business Planning functions.
10 years of experience in analytics or data science including education in a related field
Ability to cover a wide range of activities; from Clevel presentations to handson data preparation.
Background in data mining and statistics
Deep knowledge of analytical tools such as Tableau Looker PowerBI R Python etc.
Experience with Marketing attribution tools and Amplitude Analytics is preferred
Solid practical experience with relational databases and proven expertise in SQL
Strong working knowledge of modern data management practices and architectures
Strong communication skills including the ability to summarize and visualize complex analyses that tell a compelling story.

Be able to synthesize business scenarios into meaningful actionable Analytics and Reporting requirements
Use technical skills and knowledge to identify collect and evaluate data required for analyses
Have strong practical experience building and delivering (via reporting solutions storytelling and formal presentations) quantitative research and business reporting solutions
Be a leader mentor and sponsor to more junior team members
Be selfmotivated able to deal with ambiguity and work well under pressure to meet deadlines within short time constraints
Under Washington State law Moderna is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for the jobs covered by this description. Base compensation for these positions in Washington State range from $142200..00 USD. Actual salary determinations will take into account factors such as work location prior education and experience jobrelated knowledge and demonstrated skills. Compensation decisions are made on the facts and circumstances of each case.
