About the role
You will be responsible for the operational management of space across all Federation University campuses ensuring the efficient allocation and utilisation of space responding to stakeholder needs while aligning with the universitys strategic vision. You will support the Manager Planning and Design with strategic space planning and by delivering effective facilities that support the Universitys learning teaching and research activities.
You will:
manage the operational allocation and utilisation of teaching and nonteaching spaces;
engage with university stakeholders to assess their space requirements and formulate appropriate space allocation options and effective solutions;
manage space assessments and undertake analysis to plan accommodation needs;
conduct space audits maintain accurate space occupancy data and prepare reports providing recommendations to support operational decisionmaking.
About you
Reporting to the Manager Planning and Design you will support the implementation of space master plan to provide spatial needs analysis design and development feasibility assessments and decant management strategies for construction projects.
You will possess:
expert knowledge of space planning methodologies relevant legislation and industry trends;
ability to manage complex tasks shifting priorities and timelines with strong analytical and problemsolving skills;
flexibility in thinking and management of change including ability to be responsive to emerging issues cope with ambiguity and continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness; and
outstanding people skills and the ability to produce clear and accurate communications appropriate for the intended audience.
