Job Description

Position Summary

SGS & Co is seeking an experienced Project Managerwith a strong background in highly regulated industriesincluding but not limited to tobacco gravure and other compliancedriven sectors. This role is crucial in managing key accounts and ensuring the seamless of packaging artwork production under strict regulatory and quality requirements.

As a critical linkwithin the supply chain you will collaborate closely with clients design firms printers and internal teams to ensure packaging meets all printability and compliance standards. Your expertise will help maintain and enhance SGS & Cos reputation for delivering highquality regulationcompliant packaging solutions on time and with precision.

This role is ideally based near WinstonSalem North Carolina allowing for a mix of onsite and remote work. However a hybrid arrangementmay be considered for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Industry Expertise:Strong understanding of highly regulated product packaging including tobacco and other complianceheavy industries ensuring adherence to all legal and quality standards.
  • Print & Production Knowledge:Deep expertise in gravure printing corrugated manufacturing and press specificationsto ensure accurate .
  • Regulatory Compliance:Work closely with internal teams and clients to navigate and comply with industry regulations ensuring all packaging artwork aligns with strict guidelines.
  • Project Management:Oversee multiple projects simultaneously managing tight deadlinesand ensuring flawless from concept to production.
  • Client & Stakeholder Communication:Act as a trusted liaison between clients design onsite personnel and printers ensuring clarity on specifications timelines and deliverables.
  • Process Improvement:Participate in workflow optimizationto enhance efficiency and maintain compliance with evolving regulations.
  • Issue Resolution:Identify and proactively address any packaging or artwork concerns working closely with clients and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve issuesefficiently.
  • Documentation & Reporting:Maintain detailed recordsof artwork approvals regulatory compliance requirements and project milestones.
  • Training & Mentorship:Provide guidance and trainingto junior Project Managers as needed.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Industry Experience:Minimum of 5 yearsin a highly regulatedpackaging or printing environment such as tobacco pharmaceuticals or alcoholindustries.
  • Technical Skills:Strong knowledge of gravure printing corrugated packaging and prepress .
  • Regulatory Expertise:Familiarity with industryspecific legal requirementsand the ability to adapt to evolving regulations.
  • Project Management Skills:Proven ability to manage multiple complex projectswith strict deadlines and high compliance standards.
  • ClientFocused Mindset:Exceptional ability to communicate with clients and internal teams ensuring alignment on goals and deliverables.
  • Attention to Detail:Strong analytical and problemsolving skills to identify potential risksand ensure flawless .
  • Hybrid Work Flexibility:Ability to work both onsite and remotelyas needed.

Educational & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelors degreeor equivalent professional experiencein project management packaging printing or a related field.
  • 5 years project management experience preferred in a highly regulated industry
  • Experience in the design print or production art industry with a strong understanding of gravure printing corrugated packaging and prepress .
  • Full comprehension in reading work instructions and business memos
  • Highly effective communication skills
  • Proofreading skills required
  • Ability to work independently

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $52000 $75000 annually. Ultimately in determining pay we will consider the successful candidates location experience and other jobrelated factors.
