GEA Group is seeking an organized and proactive Operations Coordinator to support procurement and operational activities. This role ensures seamless operations by managing administrative tasks procurement and production planning while maintaining compliance and operational efficiency.
Serve as the primary onsite contact for procurement and production planning troubleshooting issues as needed.
Perform administrative tasks such as creating/modifying purchase orders and maintaining the Documented Work Process (DWP).
Track production efficiency metrics prepare reports and ensure accurate data entry.
Act as the Plant Buyer managing MRP and raw material ordering.
Maintain vendor relationships label printing and compliance with USEPA and EPRCA reporting.
Update Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and support yearend inventory processes.
Conduct cycle counting and monitor inventory levels for highmoving products.
Investigate production variances and enter adjustments in SAP.
Provide backup support for the Director of Manufacturing and generate weekly reports on operations.
Assist with warehouse and other operational functions as assigned.
Your Profile / Qualifications
General:
Candidates should possess a strong working knowledge of the manufacturing industry particularly in managing batch processes and handling hazardous liquid chemicals.
Education:
Required: High school diploma or GED.
Preferred: College degree especially in Chemistry with a solid understanding of chemical processes.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and training.
Key Skills & Abilities:
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with a proactive approach to problemsolving.
Experience in procurement inventory management and production planning.
Proficiency in ERP systems like SAP data analysis tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
Advanced understanding of safety protocols including CAPA tools lockout/tagout confined space and HAZMAT procedures.
Familiarity with SOP GMP and chemical procurement standards.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for crossdepartment collaboration.
Strong mathematical skills and ability to analyze and interpret technical data.
Key Accountabilities:
Deliver results aligned with defined standards and organizational goals.
Drive inventory and SKU reduction initiatives to optimize operations.
