Job Description
A large company is seeking a Senior Tech Lead to help bring their tech department inhouse. This individual will act as the architect of the department structure the team hire new staff and roll out new features. The ideal candidate will have extensive technical expertise and leadership experience with the ability to drive innovation and build a successful inhouse tech team. The candidate must be an experienced handson software developer.
Responsibilities Include:
- Tech Department Leadership:
- Lead the effort to bring the tech department inhouse including designing and implementing the departments structure.
- Hire and manage a team of engineers and technical professionals fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Architecture & Development:
- Architect and develop new systems and solutions to support business needs.
- Oversee the development and rollout of new features ensuring scalability performance and security.
- Team Building & Management:
- Build and mentor a highperforming technical team providing leadership guidance and growth opportunities.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure alignment between technical development and business objectives.
- Strategic Planning & :
- Develop and execute a roadmap for the tech department focusing on innovation efficiency and scalability.
- Drive continuous improvement in development processes and technologies.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Experienced handson software developer.
- Proven experience in leading tech teams and departments.
- Strong expertise in software architecture development and scaling large systems.
- Experience with fullstack development and modern technologies.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and manage a growing team.
- Previous experience building and scaling an inhouse tech department is a plus.
