This is a nonunion positionEnbridge is actively seeking a GIS Advisor. This dynamic person will be responsible for assisting with asbuilt activities and processes among all GTM (US & Canada) Departments. Ensures that proper communication is provided by all the stakeholders involved in engineering and transmission projects green field projects or new acquisitions (Engineering and Construction US Operations Operational Compliance Pipeline Integrity MMS Supply Chain field and 3rd party vendors) in order to gather all the operational data requirements (pipeline attributes).

What you will do:
Responsible for updating GTMs GIS (Geographic Information System) and maintaining the integrity of geographic information database.
Perform a range of technical and support functions relating to the daytoday maintenance of GTMs GIS which requires a substantial understanding of spatial data principles map projections and digital data repositories.
Assist TIS with GIS/AsBuilt tools evaluation enhancement and testing.
Apply strong conceptual and practical understanding of spatial and pipeline database design including relational database design and spatial data integration GIS application software development and spatial analysis data automation procedures including vector and raster data automation techniques data standards and quality assurance procedures.
Responsible for preparing reviewing and completing a variety of state and federal regulatory mandated data submissions.
Apply expert analysis skills using advanced GIS software and related products such as advanced spatial and data analysis tools raster image transformation thematic mapping and trend analysis in project and operational environments.
Define and manage business usage requirements of current GIS application (ArcGIS) using knowledge and experience with pipeline asbuilt process.
Responsible for training GIS Analysts on all phases of GIS Applications.
Participate and lead business process improvement efforts as they relate to the development of GIS applications and services.
Ensures traceable verifiable complete and timely submission of operational data during all phases of the project.
Supports the AsBuilt Supervisor GIS Supervisor Systems & Projects Engineering and Construction US Operations Operational Compliance Pipeline Integrity MMS Supply Chain field and 3rd party vendors and peers to establish standards and guidelines for systems and/or business processes as required.
Lead the asbuilt staff on technical aspects of pipelines and pipeline operations.
Recommend continuous improvement opportunities for process control procedures and QA/QC.
Required:
Bachelors Degree in Geography or related field OR GISP certification ORa minimum of46 years relevant GIS experience at a pipeline company.
Indepth knowledge of GIS suite of products from Esri.
Ability to resolve technical and analytical problems quickly.
Understanding of pipeline operations coupled with knowledge of information technology specifically geographic information systems.
Strong interpersonal facilitation and written and oral communication skills.
Preferred:
Ability to manage time tasks and resources effectively in a deadlineoriented customer service environment and be able to work in a team environment as well as independently.
Ability to resolve technical and analytical problems with minimal supervision.
Experience in Process Creation and Implementation.
Working Conditions:
Work performed primarily in the office.
Some travel required

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Grasping kneeling light moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds) reaching above shoulder repetitive motion typing sitting standing visual requirement (able to see screens detect color coding read fine print) hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
