Job Description

Position Summary
The Coordinator of Disability Services plans administers organizes and directs all operations of Disability Services (DS). The Coordinator assists in serving the entire Oregon Tech community in coordination with a Disability Services Specialist (students and visitors with disabilities as well as departments needing or seeking to improve the physical and programmatic accessibility of their programs) at all campus locations by leading Oregon Techs efforts to respond appropriately to nondiscrimination and accommodation services requirements of the ADA Amendments Act of 2008 and Section 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. The Coordinator will interpret advise and implement policy and procedures in order to comply with federal and state laws with regards to the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act ADAAA and will serve as the ADA Compliance Officer.

Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in Higher Education Administration Student Personnel Counseling or related field. Indepth knowledge of disability laws and implications for higher education including Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act Section 508 the Americans with Disabilities Amendments Act and Fair Housing Act. Current (last 3 years) experience providing Disability Services program administration. Experience working in higher education. Experience working with students.
