NOTICE OF POSITION

The Superintendent of Schools Dr. Tonja M. Williams Knight is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the internal position of:

Division of Multilingual Education 24 Multilingual Support Teachers

10 HOURS OF PLANNING:

Location: Virtual Teams Meetings

Time: 5:00 pm 7:00 pm

Dates: APRIL 22 APRIL 23 APRIL 29

FOUR 1/200TH SATURDAYS:

Locations: TBD (IN PERSON)

Time: 8:15 am 3:30 pm

Days: APRIL 26 MAY 3 MAY 10 MAY 17

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must hold a valid teaching certificate in: English as a Second Language Bilingual Education World Language Teachers English Teachers 512 or Elementary Education and be currently employed with the Buffalo Public Schools as a tenured or probationary teacher. Teachers who have previously worked in the Multilingual Support Program will be given preference. Teachers will create lesson plans for students and presentations for families utilizing approved district curriculum supplementing with supervisors approval. Teachers are expected to tutor students in English and reading in a positive and affirming environment and provide information and presentations for parents.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teachers will work under the supervision of a Multilingual administrator:


APPOINTMENT:
Appointments will be made by the Division of Multilingual Education who will select the candidates that best meet the requirements of the recruitment bulletin.
