Long Term Teachers are working with a wonderful primary school in Helston who are are looking for an experienced Primary teacher to join their passionate team of educators.

We are looking for a caring enthusiastic qualified teacher who has the ability to build trusting relationships with students parents and your peers. It is essential that you have at least 2 years of experience teaching in the UK. You will be planning and delivering sessions for students in Key stage 1 so it is desirable that you have previously taught this key stage.

Essential prior to application:

• Have Qualified teacher Status
• Have experience of teaching across primary phase
• An accomplished and experience classroom teacher
• Experience of setting targets monitoring assessment and monitoring performance in order to raise pupil achievement
• Able to work well within a team
• Strong ICT skills
• Understanding of SEND and how to support

Key responsibilities:

• To set and evaluate individual termly targets and to maintain records of achievement for CYP in consultation with colleagues
• To provide reports and assessments for CYP in accordance with school policy and for a range of audiences including a detailed report prior to their annual review
• To ensure that effective communication is maintained with parents/carers about their childs welfare progress and participation in our school community
• To ensure the safeguarding of all pupils by operating with the Education Provisions (EP) safeguarding practice & policy reporting to the Safeguarding team any concerns and record information on the EPs safeguarding system.
