Overview
Chubb is looking for a .Net Software Engineerto join our team. This is a permanent fulltime position and a compelling opportunity to join a global growing financially stable and successful company. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather and analyze requirements understand business needs and translate them into efficient technical solutions.
- Design develop and implement userfriendly scalable and highquality software applications using Microsoft stack including .NET 8 C# and Angular.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards principles and best practices.
- Continuously optimize application performance through monitoring profiling and finetuning.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to recommend improvements and enhancements to existing systems.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications to identify and resolve software defects and production issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with QA engineers to implement robust testing strategies including unit integration and performance testing.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members whenever required.
- Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning daily standups and retrospective meetings.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Strong understanding of objectoriented programming.
- Proven working experience as a .NET Software Engineer specializing in building web applications using the Microsoft Stack.
- Experience in .NET C#
- Experience in Angular (latest versions).
- Experience in designing and developing Restful APIs and working with Web Services (SOAP/REST).
- Solid understanding of RDBMS principles SQL and database design concepts.
- Handson experience with version control systems and preferably Git.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing highquality code.
The following will be considered a plus:
- Experience in the Insurance or Banking Sectors.
- Experience in Unit Testing (xUnit).
Thefollowingwillbe consideredaplus:
- ExperienceintheInsuranceorBankingSectors.
