Tower Engineering Professionalsis seeking a fulltime employee for a Field Technician in our Phoenix AZ location. Responsibilities:
Field Duties 80 90 of work time):
Field Duties 80 90 of work time):
- Must have a laborintensive attitude and be capable of operating heavy machinery and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to travel up to a total of 2 weeks.
- Perform maintenance on telecommunications towers.
- Must have the physical ability and the willingness to dig bend and climb inclines.
- Provide superior customer service while ensuring all essential job functions are performed in a timely
efficient accurate and safe manner. - Adhere to all company and industry standard/regulations (OSHA COMTRAIN etc.
- Layout prepare erect and assemble forms for pouring concrete.
- Set brace and align forms in place with lumber timbers turnbuckles clamps wall ties coil rods etc. for use in concrete piers footings foundations
- Signal operators of construction equipment (such as cranes rigging hardware diggers etc. to facilitate movement and adjustment of machinery/equipment and install framework where needed.
- Use carpentry hand tools such as hammers levels squares plumb bobs screwdrivers adjustable wrenches hand and power saws drill motors and pry bars electric and pneumatic tools.
- Measure cut and/or shape boards timbers plywood plastic and other materials.
- Install barricades as appropriate to eliminate workplace hazards.
- Work efficiently productively and safely to meet productions goals
- Dismantle stack and sort concrete formwork.
- Examine blueprints sketches building plans to ensure quality work.
- Perform routine inspections of tool/equipment to ensure safety and quality.
- Provide direction to other team members
General Civil Duties (when not performing concrete work):
- Operate equipment for grading trenching excavation and general civil construction.
- Conduct precise hand digging and groundwork tasks.
- Perform installation of grounding systems conduits Hframes and other related infrastructure.
- Engage in general electrical installation work both above and below grade.
Office Duties 10 20 of work time):
Upload photos of work completed.
Read and interpret structural and architectural drawings specifications and design requirements
related to telecommunications commercial residential and light industrial applications.
Conduct due diligence for multiple projects prior to field work.
Review peer work product.
Qualifications:
1 year general construction experience preferred; some cell tower industry experience highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
Good communication and interpersonal skills; selfstarter team player and results oriented.
Must be at least 21 years old have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record to operate a
company vehicle.
