Job Description
Monmouth Community Christian Church (Middletown NJ) English Pastor
The Big Picture
Requirements
Qualifications
- Must have graduated from an accredited seminary or equivalent.
- Must satisfy the Biblical elders qualifications 1 Tim 3:17; Titus 1:69; 1 Peter 5:14.
- Minimum 5 years of pastoral or ministry experience.
- Should be comfortable dealing with a multicultural multigenerational church.
- Must have strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
1.Shepherding:
oProvide spiritual guidance discipleship and counseling to the English congregation.
oFoster the spiritual and emotional wellbeing of congregants through fellowship visitation and caring.
2.Teaching and Preaching:
oEquip members with biblical teaching through sermons Sunday Schools and bible studies.
oRegular preaching to the English congregation with support for other services as needed.
3.Spiritual Leadership:
oDerive vision and plan to lead the congregation.
oSet spiritual goals and maintain a consistent prayer life.
4.Evangelism and Outreach:
oLead the congregation in fulfilling the Great Commission.
oGrow young family and young adult ministries.
5.Communication and Collaboration:
oMaintain unity with other MCCC congregations through regular communication.
oCollaborate with the BO/EC to lead the congregation in fulfilling Gods purpose.
oCollaborate with Mandarin congregation Cantonese congregation and Youth ministry.
