Job Description
Hire Resolves client is seeking an Electrical/Energy/Renewable Energy Solutions Engineer to join their team in Johannesburg. This position involves identifying implementing and maintaining energy efficiency savings and onsite generation projects. The engineer ensures projects are executed costeffectively safely and in compliance with regulations and specifications aligned with the Service Level Agreement.
Responsibilities:
- Identify implement and maintain energy efficiency savings and onsite generation for projects.
- Ensure projects are executed costeffectively safely and in accordance with applicable regulations and specifications.
- Comply with all aspects of the Service Level Agreement.
- Conduct energy audits.
- Assist with business development in pursuit of Energy Service Company (ESCO) contracts.
- Skills in energy auditing and expertise in energy efficiency projects including auditing planning implementation and management.
- Experience with onsite solar distribution and knowledge of smallscale embedded generation.
- Proficiency in Solar PV design financials (ROI IRR cashflow lifecycle costs maintenance) and project management.
- 10 15 years of experience in energy efficiency turnkey Solar PV projects and energy financial calculations.
- Minimum of a degree in Electrical Engineering.
- ECSA Professional Engineer/candidate registration.
- Desired completion of CEM (Certified Energy Manager) or CEA (Certified Energy Auditor) course.
- PV Green Card certification.
