Job Description
The Director of Student Medical Education DSME is a parttime adjunct faculty appointment. DSME shall work with fulltime faculty and staff to develop and maintain relationships with program SCPEs (supervised clinical practice experiences) and to monitor student experiences. The DSME will respond to any student or preceptor related issues to ensure a quality educational experience for both the student and the clinical site. The DSME will perform periodic site visits as assigned.
Required Qualifications
*Graduation from an accredited physician assistant training program and certification by NCCPA with current licensure; *possession of a masters degree in physician assistant studies or a doctoral degree in a field related to medical science; *minimum of two years full time clinical experience as a physician assistant;
Preferred Qualifications
*Doctoral degree in a field related to medical science or education; *experience in higher education as a faculty member in a PA training program.
