Description
Organization Overview:The Goddard Riverside Community Center (Goddard Riverside) and the Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center (Isaacs Center) are wellestablished Manhattan communitybased agencies that support services to approximately 30000 New Yorkers. We are two of New York Citys leading human services organizations meeting the needs of children youth and families homeless individuals and older adults throughout Manhattan and New York City. We work every day for a fair and just society where all people have the opportunity to make choices that lead to better lives for themselves and their families. The Isaacs Center focuses primarily on the needs of children and lowincome families outofschool and outofwork youth and aging New Yorkers. We operate at community centers located in the neighborhoods of East Harlem and Yorkville and seek to deliver programs that are impactful innovative and intergenerational.
Program Description: Goddard Riverside and Stanley Isaacs are settlement houses that operate multiple sites in NYCHA buildings that provide and host a rich array of multigenerational programs and community activities to meet the needs and aspirations of community members. The sites are highly valued both as locations for our own programs and spaces for activities and programs operated by and cocreated with community partners. The Fleet Manager manages the daytoday operations of the organizations fleet ensuring the vehicles are in proper working condition and maintained to agency safety standards.
Position Summary: Manager ensures that these vehicles are safe clean wellmaintained and operated in accordance with compliance rules and guidelines. The Fleet Manager requires experience in vehicle management fleet safety fleet maintenance costs and documentation management. The fleet manager oversees all vehicles and related assets including their operations conditions external and internal policy compliance and overall performance.
Schedule:Monday to Friday occasional weekends required 8am 5pm. Flexible as needed)
Salary Range: $44000 $50000
Candidates must have the required qualifications to be considered for the position. The salaryoffer will be basedonthe candidates number of years experience in the exact orcomparableposition and additional preferred qualifications will be taken into account.
Roles Responsibilities and Essential Duties
Role Responsibilities and Essential Duties
Vehicles
- Under the supervision of the Director of Facilities: oversee fleet vehicles including scheduling and coordinating oil changes inspections winter condition service
- Routinely inspect Goddard and Stanley Isaacs vehicles to ensure proper performance and functionality
- Assist with scheduled maintenance of fleet vehicles
- Maintain vehicle maintenance logs
- Ensure vehicles are cleaned and washed routinely including interior inspections
- Partner with Program Directors to renew registrations and parking permits
- Assist with obtaining quotes and coordinating major repairs
- Partner with Director of Operations to assist with insurance claims and appraisals
- Ensure vehicles are equipped with GPS Safety Cameras and Ezpass devices.
- Assist with traffic and toll violation payments
- Ensure vehicles have and assist with roadside assistance
- Maintain and organize all vehicle documentation and records
- Partner with the Director of Operations to assist with vehicle purchasing
- Oversee and manage parking garage contracts
- Develop and implement safety protocols to identify and address potential risks
- Manage invoicing for monthly gasoline purchases
- Ensure compliance with the agencys Drivers Code of Conduct and external policies including the Department of Transportation
- Other duties as required
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- High School diploma required Bachelors degree preferred
- Valid drivers license and a driving record that meets the agencys auto insurance guidelines (including at least 1 year as a licensed driver and no suspensions within the last 3 years)
- Experience working as a fleet manager logistics manager or in a similar job role
Skills Knowledge and Abilities
- Knowledge of fleet servicing fleet scheduling fleet analysis and operations
- Ability to assist with minor repairs
Computer Skills
- Experience with to learn Microsoft Office
Physical Requirements
- Frequent walking and standing
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs
Work Environment
- Indoors and outdoors; all weathers
- Work out of multiple offices both uptown and downtown Manhattan locations
- Able to drive and handle heavy city traffic
