Job Description
A developing Independent School in Brent is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Music Teacher for a permanent fulltime position starting in September. The successful Music Teacher will cultivate a love of music and develop musical skills in students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective Music Teacher lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Prepare students for GCSE Music examinations.
- Develop students performance composition and listening skills.
- Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback as a Music Teacher.
- Contribute to the organisation and delivery of extracurricular musical activities (e.g. choir instrumental groups).
- Encourage an appreciation for a wide range of musical genres and styles.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Music.
- Proven experience teaching Music at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4.
- Strong musical skills (performance and theory).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities in Music.
- A commitment to collaborative teamwork and a supportive school environment.
