Job Description

Your Role: We are seeking a highly innovative andmotivatedLife Science Sales Specialistto join our Global Strategic Accounts Scientific Team. This fieldbased customerfacing position will focus on developing near and longterm scientific sales andpartnerships with our strategic accounts. These activities will definethecompanysrole as a key partner in pharmaceutical target ID & validation lead discovery and lead optimization.

The position will be primarily focus onaccelerating our Biology presence at specific accounts.Additionally this role will be responsible for achieving defined financial targets. The role requires a highly developed technical / scientific skills matched with acute business acumen and salesdriven mindset. You will engage and interface with customers end users lab managers and department heads. It is necessary to have an understanding ofthe pharmaceutical R&D workflow to develop accountspecific strategies with a strong emphasis on building a scientific sales pipeline identifynovel solutions and developcollaborations with a strong ability to close. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with internal stakeholders to prepare business cases that address customer specific needs
  • Identify areas of innovation and communicate back to internal strategy team
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional groups to support customer needs. Influence crossfunctional teams without direct authority
  • You will leadcrossfunctional initiatives to drive scientific & technical account sales
  • Management through multiple challenges simultaneously with a high degree of independence.
  • Ability to identify solutions present analysis findings and recommendation to internal audiences including at that executive level

This role has no direct reports.The position reports to the Scientific Director of Global Strategic Accounts and is field based with frequent travel to pharmaceutical accounts in the East Coast.

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree and 8 years experience Masters Degree and 3 years experience
  • Strong background in Biology and understanding of pharmaceutical R&D
  • Proven sales track record and evidence of networking activities
  • Strong leadership scientific project management and business development skills coupled with the ability to work with global and remote teams
  • Ability to travel 50 of the time if located on East Coast 70 if located elsewhere
  • Global travel might be required 2 trips at most

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in the life sciences PhD preferred
  • Being a selfstarting strategic thinker with demonstrated track record of success in developing strategy and working in a sales organization
  • Established network of contacts within the pharmaceutical industry
  • East Coast based
