What you will do
The Alternative Assets Reporting team within the Regulatory Reporting Unit in the Investment Operations & Innovation Organization is looking for an Accounting Specialist 11P). We are responsible for providing accounting financial reporting and recordkeeping support for Prudential and its subsidiaries. The financial reporting is performed on a Statutory and GAAP basis. You will specifically support the following asset types: Other Invested Assets (OIA) and Real Estate. The OIA category consists mainly of joint ventures (JV) and limited liability companies (LLC). Support functions consist of reconciling and reporting on OIA and real estate positions and transactions which are contained in the PAM Investran subledger system and the Oracle General Ledger system. The Accounting Specialist is accountable for the application of accounting rules and practices as appropriate for the various portfolios and asset types.
Preparing monthly quarterly and annual Statutory and GAAP based reports that are used in the firms regulatory filings
Completing quarterly and annual Schedule A and BA and associated schedules and footnotes
Preparing and reviewing monthly reconciliations for asset and income accounts
Documenting and executing procedures for any new reporting requirements on OIA or real estate investments
Completing various adhoc requests that are received from internal clients.
Special projects as needed
Support internal and external audits
Responsible for preparing various Management Information Reports
What you will Bring:
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Strong computer/technical skills primarily with Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of GAAP and Statutory investment accounting

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $70000 to $85000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location candidate experience and skills.
