Candidates must be committed to an allgirls education and Mercy values.Specific responsibilities for this position include: Teaching Middle School Mathematics to students in grade levels 68. Preparing and Teaching 5 sections of math: Math 6 Math 7 Math 8 and Accelerated Math 7. Planning organizing and implementing instructional programming that promotes the academic socialemotional and spiritual growth of students in an allgirls school. Assessing student learning for both formative and summative purposes using multiple measures. Employing highquality instruction using evidencebased practices to support all learners. Adapting teaching methods projects and instructional materials to meet students varying needs and interests. Integrating instructional and recordkeeping strategies using Google Suite and/or other appropriate technology. Being flexible openminded and a selfdriven team member.Qualifications for this position are: BA/BS degree in Mathematics or related field Masters degree preferred Knowledge and experience teaching a rigorous mathematics curriculum Committed to ongoing professional growth and learning Understanding and appreciating the developmental range of the age group Excellent organizational skills including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Collaborative skills including the ability to work with colleagues and parents High energy level creative and forwardthinking A sense of humor warmth and a love of working with children and their families.
