Job Title: Industrial Trades Teacher
Reports to: Campus Principal/CTE Coordinator
Dept. /School: Assigned Campus
Wage/Hour Status: Teacher Pay Scale/Exempt
Days: 187 Days

Primary Purpose:
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual emotional physical and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society. Provide students with a variety of skills in the area of industrial trades. This includes but is not limited to; tool identification and usage; construction math; OSHA training; career exploration; blueprint reading. Teaching 3 levels of plumbing starting with basics and moving up to working on CEC house build with plumbing students.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelors degree from accredited university (preferred)
Valid Texas teaching certificate or enrollment in an accredited ACP for one or more of the following:
Or 3 years experience in the field formal education and/or industry license
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of Industrial trades/plumbing
Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills
Experience
At least one year of student teaching or approved internship (preferred)

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing stooping bending pulling and pushing. Move small stacks of textbooks plumbing equipment desks and other classroom equipment.
