Commercial Decision Science Lead

The Role
Moderna is seeking a Decision Science Lead to drive advanced analytics and datadriven insights that inform critical commercial decisions. This role will serve as a strategic partner to Marketing Sales and Medical Affairs leveraging realworld data and emerging AIdriven methodologies to enhance decisionmaking and .

The successful candidate will lead a lean team of highperforming analytics professionals while also functioning as a handson expert in AIdriven analytics commercial data strategy and omnichannel insights. This role will be responsible for shaping Modernas global analytics capability integrating advanced statistical modeling realworld data and decision science to maximize business impact.

This position reports to the Vice President Global Commercial Strategy and will have a global scope partnering closely with local markets to drive datadriven decisionmaking. This is a unique opportunity to build a scalable bestinclass Decision Science capability that informs key decisions and shapes Modernas continued growth.

Heres What Youll Do

Strategic Leadership & Team Development:

• Lead and develop a high performing team driving global best practices in commercial decision science.

• Serve as the senior strategic analytics partner to commercial sales and medical teams shaping global decisionmaking through advanced analytics.

• Shape and implement best practices for AIdriven analytics and insights within commercial optimizing business impact through data science.

• Partner with senior stakeholders to integrate analytics into business planning gotomarket strategy and .

AIDriven Commercial Insights & :

• Customer 360 Profile: Develop an integrated view of customers (HCPs accounts consumers) by leveraging AIdriven segmentation engagement data and realworld insights.

• GoToMarket Planning: Use advanced segmentation targeting and predictive modeling to optimize marketing campaigns and launch strategies.

• Omnichannel Measurement & Optimization: Build a scalable analytics framework that attributes marketing impact optimizes media mix and enhances engagement through AIdriven recommendation systems.

• Next Best Action & Decision Support: Develop realtime AIpowered tools and dashboards that guide field and digital teams in commercial .

Lead Global Data Strategy & Governance:

• Lead the development of a global commercial data strategy ensuring robust highquality real world data supports analyticsdriven decision making.

• Collaborate with country teams and crossfunctional partners to ensure access to highquality realworld healthcare data (sales claims EMR/EHR labs digital engagement etc..

• Oversee the management quality and governance of thirdparty data working closely with Modernas Digital organization to implement master data management best practices.

• Ensure that data infrastructure supports scalable AI/MLdriven analytics while maintaining regulatory compliance and integrity.

Data Science AI and Emerging Technologies:

• Drive AIpowered predictive analytics leveraging generative AI deep learning and other data science methodologies to enhance decisionmaking.

• Implement AIdriven automated insights performance diagnostics and workflow optimization to increase analytics speed and accuracy.

• Foster a culture of innovation experimentation and continuous AI/ML adoption across commercial teams.

Heres What Youll Need (Minimum Qualifications)

• 10 years of experience in data science analytics or commercial insights within healthcare or life sciences with demonstrated leadership in AIdriven analytics and decision science.

• Masters degree or advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g. Data Science Business Analytics Statistics AI/ML Economics).

• Experience leading global analytics initiatives integrating inputs from multiple stakeholders and delivering locally relevant insights.

• Strong expertise in realworld healthcare data (sales claims EMR/EHR labs digital engagement etc..

• Experience managing and developing a team with a track record of building highperforming analytics teams.

Heres What Youll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)

• Experience in analytics strategy consulting or commercial decision science.

• Deep understanding of AI/ML methodologies and experience deploying them in commercial analytics.

• Strong business acumen and ability to translate technical analytics into executivelevel insights that drive commercial impact.

• Experience collaborating with data engineering analytics and commercial teams to develop and scale AIdriven decision tools.

• Passion for emerging technologies including generative AI and their potential to transform commercial analytics.

• Ability to thrive in a fastpaced highgrowth environment with strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
