Position:Certified Athletic Trainer Injury Prevention Specialist Los Angeles CA
Location: 300 World Way Los Angeles CA 90045
Schedule:
Compensation:Commensurate with experience starting at $68640 and up commensurate with experience.
Select Physical Therapy is currently seeking a fulltime Injury Prevention Specialist/ATC for an industrial setting. This is an onsite contract with a large airline at LAX. FT staff of 7 Certified Athletic Trainers with additional PRN Athletic Trainers. Center operates 7 days/wk. and operates as a half fitness half OSHA First Aid location for all employees of the airline. We just moved into a brand new roughly 2000 sq. ft. facility with additional spaces in the works.This program is well established 10 years) and supported by all stakeholders. Patient population is diverse ranging in age from 1865 years old. Various demographics and athletic/physical abilities. OSHA mandated First Aid care can range from musculoskeletal issues to general medical conditions to acute trauma. There are also multiple preventative programs that have been developed and maintained onsite by our Injury Prevention Team that are ongoing and that the candidate will support as able. The FT salaried WorkStrtaegies Specialist will also perform one day a week at the busy 4000sq. Ft. SelectLos Angeles PT Clinic performing testing and assisting with operations. The candidate will directly report to the Site Supervisor with additional assistance from the AT Leads as needed. 12 years of AT experience is recommended due to the complexity and volume of cases seen at both sites.Ability to crosstrain and support additional onsite contracts and/or WorkStrategies opportunities in the Southern CA area are also a possibility.Come and join our dynamic progressive and growing team at LAX and Select LA.

Responsibilities
- Fulltime Onsite coverage for industrial client under the direction of Account/Program Manager
- Delivery of full continuum of Onsite Injury Prevention Services at assigned location. Prevention Services include:
- Assessment triage and first aid application for workplace injury/discomfort
- Ergonomic risk assessment and implementation of ergonomic solutions
- Design and implementation of functional assessments preventative exercise and stretching
- Job coaching and behavior modification both oneonone and in group settings
- Providing education and training on a wide range of injury prevention topics
- Office ergonomics
- Health and wellness consultation
- Documentation and reporting on employee encounters
- Regular communication with both client and Select leadership
Qualifications
- BS Degree Required
- National Athletic Trainers Association (NATABOC) Board of Certification
- Eligible for state license
- Minimum one year experience industrial setting experience a plus
- Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Position requires a strong knowledge of musculoskeletal injury assessment and prevention interventions
