Our operations boast an installed capacity of over 1500 MT/month. As we continue to grow we are seeking an experienced Chief Manager Finance s Accounts with expertise in Taxation to strengthen our finance team.
The Chief Manager Finance s Accounts (Taxation) will be responsible for overseeing all taxation-related activities within the finance department. The position requires a strategic thinker who can effectively manage direct and indirect taxation ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and lead tax planning and reporting. This role involves managing the tax implications of various business activities liaising with government authorities ensuring timely filing of tax returns and optimizing tax liabilities. The ideal candidate will have at least 8-10 years of experience in finance and taxation a strong background in statutory compliance and a deep understanding of the taxation landscape.
1. Taxation Management:
Direct s Indirect Taxes: Manage the company s direct (Income Tax Corporate Tax etc.) and indirect tax (GST VAT Service Tax etc.) compliance planning and reporting.
Tax Filing s Returns: Oversee the timely and accurate filing of all tax returns (monthly quarterly and annual) with relevant authorities ensuring compliance with Indian tax laws and regulations.
Tax Audits: Lead tax audits and assessments by liaising with tax authorities ensuring all required documents and clarifications are submitted.
GST Compliance: Ensure compliance with GST laws including timely filing of GST returns GST audit and reconciliation of GST liability.
Tax Optimization: Develop and implement tax-saving strategies to minimize the company s tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Transfer Pricing: Manage and ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations and maintain appropriate documentation.
Tax Structuring: Provide advice on tax implications for business restructuring mergers acquisitions and other financial decisions.
International Taxation: Understand and manage the tax impacts of international transactions including import/export duties and other cross-border taxation requirements.
Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with all statutory financial and tax-related obligations including GST TDS and Income Tax.
Audit s Reporting: Lead internal and external audits related to taxes ensuring all records are accurate and ready for examination. Prepare all necessary documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.
Tax Litigation s Disputes: Represent the company in front of tax authorities and assist in resolving any tax-related disputes or issues with government departments.
Financial Analysis: Oversee the preparation of financial statements (PCL Balance Sheet Cash Flow) and ensure they align with tax reporting requirements and corporate policies.
Tax Impact Analysis: Evaluate the financial impact of tax decisions and business transactions including investment strategies and large capital expenditures.
Tax Provisioning: Ensure accurate provisioning for taxes in the company s financial statements keeping track of tax liabilities and assets.
Team Leadership: Lead and manage the tax and accounts team providing guidance training and mentorship to junior staff.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with other departments (Sales HR Legal etc.) to ensure effective tax planning and coordination in company-wide initiatives.
Performance Management: Monitor team performance conduct regular reviews and drive initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy in tax and finance functions.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve tax processes to streamline workflows reduce errors and improve overall efficiency.
Automation s Technology: Implement and oversee the use of accounting and tax automation tools to increase productivity and reduce manual errors in tax filings and calculations.
Educational Background:
Required: CA (Chartered Accountant)
Preferred: Additional certifications in Taxation (e.g. Diploma in Taxation Laws or GST) will be a plus.
Required: A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in finance with at least 5 years in a managerial position specifically handling taxation and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing or similar industry.
Preferred: Experience in managing taxation for a company with multi-location operations or international presence with a solid understanding of cross-border taxation.
Required: Knowledge of Direct Taxes Indirect Taxes GST and Income Tax regulations.
Strong understanding of Indian Tax Laws including corporate tax TDS GST and other statutory tax requirements.
Proficient in accounting software (ERP systems like SAP Tally or other accounting software) and MS Office (Advanced Excel).
Tax Audit Expertise: Experience in conducting tax audits and managing tax assessments and disputes.
Preferred: Experience with automation of tax reporting and financial processes.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to understand complex tax regulations and the ability to interpret financial data and tax-related matters.
Attention to Detail: Ability to focus on accuracy and precision in tax filings audit reviews and reporting.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify tax-related issues and propose cost-effective and compliant solutions.
Leadership: Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team setting priorities and ensuring the team meets deadlines.
