Works Hours: MondayThursday 9:30 a.m. 5:30 p.m.; Friday 10:00 a.m. 6:30 p.m.
Location: 1115 Mission Rd. San Antonio TX. 78210

Mission: Seton Home works to break the cycle of abuse and poverty by providing a caring home education and support services necessary to transform the lives of pregnant and parenting teen mothers and their children.

Summary:


The Resource and Activity Coordinator provides oversight to the donor database and being the first and main point of contact for donors and volunteers and fulfilling program needs and donations. The Resource and Activity Coordinator follows Texas Department of Family Protective Services Minimum Standards policy and procedures.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for pick up sorting and storing of donations in appropriate areas.
  • Create monthly resident activity calendars in collaboration with Shift Supervisor(s) and Program Director; to include recreational therapeutic and life skill activities.
  • Connecting and developing relationships with outside agencies and community partners to provide services for the residents at Seton Home.
  • Document and maintain inventory of incoming and outgoing donations in electronic database systems.
  • Maintain and restock Mommys Place and the cottage hygiene room weekly.
  • Responsible for carrying out Mommys Place on Friday evenings.
  • Collaborate with the volunteer department to schedule and oversee volunteer opportunities.
  • Perform new resident inventory during the intake process and provide the new resident with needed materials within 24hrs of admission.
  • Ensure that new residents obtain needed items/materials at Fresh Start Closet during intake.
  • Document direct client interactions and services/materials provided via database.
  • Other duties as assigned by Program Director or Vice President.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education
    • Minimum High School Diploma.
  • License and Credentials
    • Reliable transportation.
    • Valid driver license.
    • Valid vehicle insurance.
  • Must provide immunization/shot records.
  • Submit to a state and federal background check Child abuse and neglect registry check and Tuberculosis screening.
  • Be physically mentally and emotionally capable of performing assigned tasks and have the skills necessary to perform essential duties and responsibilities

Minimum Knowledge and Skills:

Minimum of 1year employment experience in the child welfare field working with children and/or adolescents in a social service setting.

  • Some knowledge of computer software familiarity with or ability to utilize Extended Reach and MS Office (i.e. MS Word Excel Outlook and OneDrive).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measures.
  • Successful completion and implementation of SAMA.
  • Possess sensitivity to the service populations cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members service providers and professionals.
  • Ability to function independently and in a team setting.
  • Must be bilingual English/Spanish.

Travel Requirements:


Travel requirements for the position includes 10 local and 10 overnight.
