Job Description

Rutland Town School seeks a 1.0 FTE teacher for 5thgrade Math and Science. The successful candidate will possess the following attributes;Knowledge of elementary and middle school research based best practicesKnowledge of the Common Core Standards and Next Generation Science StandardsKnowledge and experience of integrating Vermont ProficienciesKnowledge of proficiency based reportingEvidence of integrating technology into the learning environmentExperience in or knowledge of a Professional Learning CommunityKnowledge of best practices regarding student management protocolsKnowledge of assessments and use of data to inform instructionEvidence of strong connection with students and familiesExperience with Bridges is preferredStrong communication skills as evidenced through a quality applicationOngoing educational trainingThe belief that educators ensure learning at a high level for every child and that developing positive relationships is equally importantExperience with projectbased learningLicensed or eligible for Vermont Educators LicenseAbility to collaborate effectively across contents and across grade levelsRutland Town School is a PreK8 school with 352 students.
