Job Description

Mount Alvernia Academy a Franciscan Catholic elementary school is seeking a Fourth-grade homeroom teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. This is a full-time position. Ideal candidates will have a strong Math background and prior teaching experience in an elementary school academic setting. The applicant must believe in and practice our Franciscan mission demonstrate a love and respect for students and be committed to instilling a passion for learning in each one. Experience with integrating technology to enhance learning is addition candidates must demonstrate excellent organizational written and verbal communications skills; have the ability to multitask; be able to coordinate projects and schedules in a fast-paced environment; integrate Chromebook usage and Google Classroom into practice and be a positive team player with a desire to contribute and share their gifts and talents with the students and administration of the attendance is a necessary function. Consistent reliable and punctual attendance is essential for the supervision and instruction of the students. While performing the duties of this job the teacher is frequently required to kneel stoop bend and/or crouch. The teacher is periodically required to stand while talking and listening.
