The Structural Designer position is part of the Industrial Crane and product engineering team and your role will be to create structural and fabrication drawing packages using CAD software. Mostly you will be drafting 3D crane runway structures and also 2D crane assembly and fabrication drawing packages. As part of the engineering team you will need to partner engineers to complete drawing packages.
In this position you will report to the Engineering Manager.
You Will:
- Produce 3D/Solid Models of Crane Runway Structures
- Create 2D fabrication drawing packages and Bill of Materials
- Produce 2D General Arrangement drawings of Overhead Cranes
- Create Fabrication drawing packages of Overhead Cranes for use by Crane Factories
- Work with other Team Member (Engineers Designers) to develop cross training skills
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts
You Have:
- Have an Associates Degree or equivalent experience
- Designing/drafting experience or formal training in designing/drafting
- Experience with 3D CAD Software (The program used is Tekla Structures)
