Job Description
IAT Insurance Group has an immediate opening for a Supervisor Underwriting Support to work out of our Alpharetta GA office location to provide daytoday oversite for Account Managers within the Inland Marine and Commercial Property Underwriting Support unit.
Underwriting Support consists of a team of productionoriented customercentric problemsolving detaildriven Account Managers. The ideal candidate will have experience leading coaching and developing production teams of five or more. Please note IAT works on a hybrid schedule working from the office Monday through Wednesday with the option of working remotely Thursday and Friday.
- Provides leadership to assigned staff by leading organizational change; developing and empowering staff; cultivating relationships; putting staff in a position to succeed meeting their personal career goals while also achieving organizational goals; building effective teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals; driving engagement and creating a climate where staff are motivated to do their best.
- Oversees training and quality product output of account management staff.
- Fosters and maintains collaborative relationships with internal and external customers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelors degree and 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
- The equivalent is defined as 9 years of relevant insurance experience.
- Substantial understanding and knowledge of the Inland Marine and/or Commercial Property insurance products.
- Vast knowledge of Underwriting Support processes and procedures.
- Solid technical background with hands on experience in rating and policy issuance platforms as well as system testing.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work throughout the organization at different levels.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills used for interaction with all levels of associates and/or external sources in a variety of settings.
- To qualify all applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require now or in the future VISA sponsorship for employment purposes.
- Prefer 5 years of experience as an Account Manager or Assistant Underwriter supporting Inland Marine and/or Commercial Property
- Prefer 3 years of coaching leading and/or supervisory experience.
